Footjoy Fuel Golf Shoes

FootJoy have released their first shoe for 2022 with the FootJoy Fuel, and they have certainly started with a bang!

FootJoy have always identified themseleves with a classic and traditional golfing style. The FootJoy Icon's stand out as a timeless look, a familiar sight on course 100 years ago, that wouldn't be outdated today.

However, like any company, FootJoy have changed with the times. The new FootJoy Fuel offers a modern design, based around style as well as performance, targeted at the younger demographic who have been introduced to the game in recent years. The staple colours of white, grey and black are nicely complimeted across the range with hints of blue, orange and green.

The outsole of the shoe is similar to that of the popular Pro SL shoe, using it's Tour-proven performance with a new look. The spikeless design still gives golfers optimal grip with strategic spike placement across the entire sole. The synthetic make up gives a 100% waterproof guarantee and incredibly easy to clean, making it the perfect shoe even for winter golf.

The Fuel has a Stratolite EVA midsole, which is essentially a stability bridge in the middle of the sole, providing lateral support and optimal support throughout the entire swing.

The range includes a total of 8 shoes, four mens, three ladies and a junior option. The mens come in colourway options of White/Black/Orange, White/Grey/Blue, Navy/Red/White and a White/Gray BOA. The womens range follows a similar simplistic theme with Grey/Yellow/Pink, White/Pink and White/Pink BOA options.

Guy Smith, FootJoy product manager of footwear said "undoubtably the shoe takes the athletic offering to a new level, where we have been able to leverage our expertise in golf driven performance from our market-leading range and bring these technologies into the category to amplify what was previously possible - none more so than the Pro-SL inspired outsole.","Fuel embodies the FJ brand taking a step forward in providing technican and innovative driven footwear."

Tour players including the likes of Will Zalatoris and Max Homa have taken up the shoe, saying they are impressed with how light the shoe is.

"Whether a shoe for use in tournament play, practice rounds or even travelling to and from the course - it has style, comfort and versatility that many of the world's best players are looking for."
